High Fidelity - Refuge Theatre Project (2017)

"The cast of HIGH FIDELITY is doing incredible work here. They harmonize so beautifully and infuse each note with enough power and verve to fill a much larger theater. Each moment is sheer joy to watch. I’d be remiss not to mention Lewis Rawlinson as Dick, Rob’s timid friend. Rawlinson’s vocals are stunningly beautiful, and he is utterly winning in his line deliveries."
-Rachel Weinberg, Perform Ink

"High Fidelity: The Musical is tight, exuberant and joyful, despite the broken hearts that fuel the narrative….nerd Dick (compelling Lewis Rawlinson), who thought he had sex once but wasn’t sure…"
-Karin McKie, Third Coast Review

"The charmingly small space allows each cast member’s talent to explode. The singing talent of the entire cast is stellar and because of the cozy quarters, the sound quality is fantastic. It feels like this is how High Fidelity was always meant to be seen."
-Stephanie Dykes, Picture This Post

bare: a pop opera - Refuge Theatre Project (2016)

"I had never thought that much of "Bare: A Pop Opera" until I saw it Sunday night, lustily staged in a church. Among other qualities to the production, it is exceptionally well sung by a young cast of mostly just-graduated unknowns. The youthful lead, Lewis Rawlinson, is exceptional. The church staging deepens the themes, adds some much-needed gravitas and, most of all, reveals something richer than I had realized in Intrabartolo's score. Truth, vulnerability, promise — are all on display in abundance."
-Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune, 3.5/4 Stars

"Lewis Rawlinson is a revelation. Rawlinson’s inspired acting is matched by his sensitive, soaring voice. True, he is the show’s protagonist, but he doesn’t seek the spotlight. The spotlight finds him. He’s a paragon of earnesty, and the audience will feel his love for Jason pulsating through him. The talented young man is an accomplished cellist to boot, and audiences will doubly be treated to his pre-recorded cello filling out the score."
-Ian Rigg, Chicagoland Musical Theatre

"I was blown away by Refuge Theatre Project’s emotionally-charged and gorgeously sung presentation of bare. I have seen bare a handful of times before, but never with such emotional energy, desperation, or stunning vocals as I witnessed on Friday night. This production revealed many startling shades to bare that I’ve never seen or thought of previously. It’s like this show finally found the voice it was missing. This is not only the best sung bare I’ve seen, it’s also the best acted one too. Lewis Rawlinson is extraordinary as Peter. The actor gives a truly moving performance that’s worth the price of admission alone."
-Justin LeClaire, Chicago Splash

"As the show's lead, Rawlinson's performance as the emotionally torn Peter is a powerhouse. He shows great emotional range while tackling the show's pop score."
-Misha Davenport, Broadway World

Godspell - OMG I Love That Show Productions (2015)

"The production is exceptionally well sung. Lewis Rawlinson cast as Jesus has a great voice and “Beautiful City” was a highlight. He keeps the 2 hours moving and is a delight on stage."
-Vince at Vmedia
